The steering system on your Club Car is a simple one. Several parts could fail on you, leaving your golf cart in a precarious spot. You have what is called a rack or steering box. The name is because it’s a rack and pinion style steering system, not a medieval torture device. Although if you have ever had to lay under your caddie for any period, you might have thought you were in a back vise. Even if it is just to change the Club Car DS Right-Threaded Tie Rod End.
There are only a few golf cart parts to the whole system, though. You have the aforementioned rack and a tie rod that comes out of it and attaches to one spindle, and then a long tie rod attaches both spindles.
